Originating from deep within the Yorkshire Rhubarb Triangle, Chris began taking pictures from the age of twelve with a Minolta X500 he got second hand from Bradford Camera Exchange.
Attracted by the bright lights of London, he secured a place at Chelsea School of Art to do painting and to continue to take photos. After his Fine Art Degree he went on to assist a handful of established photographers and then strided out on his own.
Based in East London with his partner Nancy and their two kids Iris and Stellan, Chris is a freelance photographer working predominantly in portraiture, shooting anything from A list celebrity studio to cutting edge new musical talent on location.
Chris is also the photographer behind the landmark MP Portraits Project which took place in a make shift studio setup in The Reasons Room, Parliament - July 2017.
Alongside portraits he also shoots the food and drink of London's vibrant restaurant scene. These usually take place pre service early in the morning so particularly enjoys the often varied breakfast options available post shoot.
His editorial work features regularly in many leading publications along with music industry, PR and commercial commissions.
